User Data Deletion

This page explains how you can request deletion of your EAMS account or personal data. These instructions apply to users of the EAMS website, EAMS platform, and related EAMS applications, including business, school, learning, and POS apps where applicable.

If you use EAMS through a company, school, or accounting office, that organization may be primarily responsible for your data inside its account. In that case, we may need to direct your request to the account owner or coordinate with them before deletion can be completed.

1.When can you request data deletion?

You may request deletion of your data if you are:

  • An individual user who created an EAMS account.
  • A free-trial user.
  • A user of an EAMS application.
  • A parent, student, employee, or teacher inside an organization using EAMS.
  • A customer or prospect who contacted EAMS and wants contact data deleted.
  • A user who signed in through a third-party provider, such as Google, Apple, or Facebook, and wants the data linked to that EAMS account deleted.

2.How to request deletion

Option 1: From inside your account

If account deletion or privacy request features are available inside your account, you can use:

Account Settings → Privacy → Request Data Deletion

Or the equivalent path inside the application you use.

Option 2: By email

Send your deletion request to the privacy team at:

privacy@eams.io

Please use a clear subject such as: Data Deletion Request

In your message, please include:

  • Full name.
  • Email address linked to the account.
  • Phone number, if used in the account.
  • Company, school, or organization name, if applicable.
  • Name of the app or service used.
  • Request type: full account deletion, deletion of specific personal data, or stopping marketing communication.
  • Any details that help us identify your account and process the request.

3.What happens after you send a request?

After we receive your request:

  1. We review the request and try to identify the related account or data.
  2. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity and protect the account from unauthorized deletion.
  3. If the account belongs to a company, school, or other organization, we may need to coordinate with the account owner.
  4. We identify data that is eligible for deletion and data that may need to be retained.
  5. We delete or anonymize eligible data where applicable.
  6. We send you a confirmation or update when the request is processed.

We normally review requests within 72 hours and process eligible deletion requests within [Deletion Processing Window], unless retention is required by law, contract, security, billing, audit, or legitimate business obligations.

4.What data may be deleted?

Depending on the account type and service used, deletion may include:

  • Profile data.
  • Contact data such as email address and phone number.
  • Login data linked to your EAMS account.
  • User preferences.
  • Some activity logs linked to the user.
  • Messages or support requests linked to the user, where deletion is possible.
  • Free-trial or contact-request data.
  • Data linked to EVA or AI feature interactions, where it can be associated with the user and appropriately deleted.
  • App data linked to your EAMS account.

5.What data may not be deleted immediately?

We may need to retain some data for a limited period where required or appropriate for legal or operational reasons, such as:

  • Financial records, invoices, and payments.
  • Security and audit logs.
  • Records needed to prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Data required by law, accounting, or tax obligations.
  • Data inside a company or school account where that organization is the data controller.
  • Temporary backups until they are rotated or deleted according to the applicable retention cycle.
  • Records needed to prove that a deletion request was handled.

Where immediate deletion is not possible, we may restrict access, anonymize the data, or retain it only for the required purpose, where applicable.

6.Student, parent, employee, and teacher data

If you are a student, parent, employee, or teacher inside a school or organization using EAMS, the school or organization may be responsible for managing your data.

In that case:

  • You can still contact us at privacy@eams.io.
  • We may direct your request to the school or organization that owns the account.
  • We may need approval or instructions from the responsible organization before deleting certain data.
  • Some educational, financial, or administrative records may need to be retained under school policy, law, or contract.

7.Google, Apple, Facebook, or other third-party login data

If you used Google, Apple, Facebook, or another third-party provider to sign in, you can request deletion of the data linked to your EAMS account.

Please note that deleting your data from EAMS does not delete your Google, Apple, Facebook, or other third-party account. To manage or delete your account with a third-party provider, you must use that provider’s own account settings.

8.Stopping marketing communication

If you only want to stop marketing messages, you can:

  • Use the unsubscribe link included in marketing emails.
  • Or send a request to privacy@eams.io with the subject: Unsubscribe Request.

We may still send important operational messages related to your account or service, such as security alerts, billing messages, or service notices.

9.Can deleted data be restored?

After data is deleted or anonymized, it may not be possible to restore it. For that reason, we may ask you to confirm your request before deleting an account or important data.

If you are part of a company or school account, deleting certain data may affect your access to services or records related to that organization.
